Short poems - here the children could type a poem that he/she created or one that the class has learned in class. They could then Insert a picture from Clip Art that goes along with the poem. Another thing you could do with this is let the children create their own illustrations through Paint.

Spelling words - the students can practice Word skills by using their weekly word list and write numbered sentences with the words.

Content vocabulary- the students can practice typing their Social Studies or Science terms. You could ask them to put the terms into to a simple table with specific columns and rows.
